On a recent visit to Yamanashi, I saw a pomegranate tree with a fully ripe pomegranate fruit. The message of the next full moon came to me, so I would like to share it with you.
People are very dissatisfied with the way they are, including their surroundings. I want to be like this, but I can’t so it’s frustrating. Why can’t I be more like that person? I am missing this, I am missing that, etc.
Such unproductive frustration only lowers our energy and distracts us from our daily goals. Being dissatisfied with ourselves is like complaining to a pomegranate that it should ripen sooner, why it’s so small, or why it’s not perfectly round.
