The next Full Moon happens on December 15, 2024 at 9:01 am (UTC) at 29°40 Taurus. The Nakshatra is Mrigasira, the Navamsha is Virgo, the Moon is exalted in Taurus, and it will be the last full moon of 2024.
What changes have we experienced in 2024? And are we satisfied with those changes? Some of us may be wondering, “Why do I have to change?” If we can say that “I am 100% happy now”, maybe there is no need to change. But in such a case, what is the standard of “happiness”? Is “happiness” dependent on external factors?
If we are not satisfied with the changes, in what areas do we feel we might improve further? Is it something worldly, such as wanting more “money,” “clothes” or “material success”? Or is it that we are lacking a philosophy that teaches us about inner peace and that worldly satisfaction does not necessarily give us true happiness? If it is the latter, we can get closer to true inner peace by studying Jyotish, yoga, or Vedic philosophy.
2025 is a year of further changes. Astrologically, there will be a bit of a storm in the spring. Some people may become wary when hearing this kind of news. But if we learn to apply the remedies that Jyotish offers and understand why these situations are happening, we will not be afraid. We can learn to take an umbrella with us when rain is forecast, or we can wait for the sun to shine in a safe place. With the knowledge of Jyotish and Vedanta, we will be less likely to be overwhelmed by arising situations.
However, we need some determination to study diligently. The last Full Moon of the year is a time to think about such determination. Om Shanti.
