Veda-based philosophies such as Jyotish and Yoga, following the principles of Dharma, are cultivated by the deep knowledge of those who have continued the tradition. A Guru is someone who ca remove our darkness. This Full Moon is called Guru Purnima, a day to pay homage and respect to those Gurus.
The mind is weak and is easily influenced by external circumstances, swayed by pleasure, hatred, likes and dislikes, and all sorts of desires. Having a teacher with a strong core is a blessing that nothing can replace. Guru’s grace is such an important factor in our life.
Let us spend this Full Moon paying respect to the traditions of those Gurus and thinking about living a life – the best we can – in accordance with Dharma. Om Shanti.
