Full Moon Lunar Eclipse 27/28 August, 2026

The next Full Moon is a Lunar Eclipse, happening on August 28, 2026 at 04:19 am (UTC) at 10°40′ Aquarius. The nakshatra is Shatabhishak, and the navamsha is Capricorn.

Many things happen in life.
Sometimes unexpected things happen.
But that is an opportunity to look at ourselves anew.
The unexpected gives us a chance to reexamine how we think.

But for someone who doesn’t regularly do this work of self-reflection, those things end up being blamed on others or on circumstances. When that happens, one’s soul doesn’t grow.

So when something happens, if we can observe, as a third-party person would, whether our automatic reaction is working, or not, we come to understand ourselves more deeply. This is work that probably never ends in a lifetime. And it is tedious, because it’s overwhelmingly easier to blame others. A lunar eclipse offers an opportunity to look anew at our own thoughts and emotions. If we are able to reexamine them well, it becomes an opportunity for healing and to help others. Om Shanti.
