The next full moon will happen on March 2, 2018 at 0.51am GMT.
In India, the festival of Holi is celebrated on this full Moon in the month of Phalgun. It represents the transition from winter to spring and also about shedding the old and welcoming the new. On the night before Holi, the demoness Holika is burned symbolically in bonfires (called Holika Dahan). We burn everything we need to let go before the new season starts.
Then we celebrate spring with bright colours and think about getting coloured in the colours of service and love to God. When we throw away our spoilt clothes we shed even more negativity and ego with it so our heart will be filled with the divine. Om Shanti.
