The first New Moon of 2023 happens on 21 January at 8.54 pm UTC at 7 degrees Capricorn, Uttara Ashadha Nakshatra.
One of the remedial measures for Jyotish is donation.
It is not only about donating money. It includes using your time and talents to help others.
When you hear the word “donation,” go deep in your gut to see how you feel.
Do you understand that your sense around money (or time or talent or oneself) is greatly influenced by how your parents dealt with it and what you experienced during childhood?
Donation? Why should I give to others when it’s my money? (That’s where I started when I was much younger.)
Donation is a responsibility in society. I have no choice but to donate because it is my duty.
Donations are for “my” own good, so I should donate at as many temples as possible so that “I” can be blessed.
Let’s donate at as many temples as possible because there will be people suffering from hunger in many places.
If we can help those in need, even just a little, it will warm our hearts.
We are all brothers and sisters, so it is only natural! If I could, I would give more.
The more money we give, the more money comes in, so I simply want to follow the laws of the universe.
What did you think?
It doesn’t matter what feeling you get as long as you become more aware of it.
This is a very good New Moon to think about what donation is.
Your values about yourself will also be relevant, so let’s think about those things until the next full moon in two weeks. Om Shanti.
