Planets influence our life through cycles. In Hinduism, Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva rule the cycle of Creation, Preservation and Destruction. When we hear about the word “destruction” we may only think of negative things but when we become aware that every thing is impermanent, we do not need to fear the consequences as we know something new will be created.
One of the symbols of this full moon is destruction. It may mean getting rid of clutter that we no longer need, letting go of thoughts and ideas that became unnecessary, and also by destroying our ignorance, we invite new energies to come in.
We do not need to unroot a tree we have carefully grown until now, because then the tree will die. This full moon is telling us that now is time to prune the branches. By clipping off the unnecessary, we promote growth. It is important to regularly get rid of what we no longer need materially and mentally. Then we become lighter and invite new energies to come in.
