The next New Moon happens on November 23, 2022, at 10.57 pm UTC, 7°27 Scorpio, Anuradha Nakshatra.
If we can treat others with kindness, compassion, generosity, fairness and equality, we would be loved by everybody and there should be no problems. If there are no problems, no solutions are needed.
We may think “if only I could do that, I wouldn’t have a hard time!”, right? I think that too.
But that itself is a very important clue. Why do we think “if only I could do that?” What is lacking?
Because we have so many problems. “That’s because this person is not honest with me”, “because this work is so difficult”, “because I have to be responsible no matter what”. But is it really? Sometimes we choose the situation ourselves. And those people and situations are either the consequences of past life Karma or just mirrors of ourselves, showing us what we think of ourselves.
If we were born to experience rejection, we will definitely act in a way we will be rejected. You can continue to blame the other person saying “if you do this, it’s because you don’t like me”. But have you tried to step into the other person’s shoes, being constantly doubted? When the other person finally gives up and ends up rejecting us, we may feel triumphant as if we managed to prove ourselves that we were worthy of being rejected. Each person comes to experience different circumstances. Sometimes, it can be useful seeing the situation from the other person’s point of view.
We may be quite sensitive on this New Moon, so we may react emotionally to what is happening around us. But that is when it is easier to notice our own patterns.
Instead of reacting emotionally as soon as something happens, it is good to take a step back and analyse our patterns. It is also okay to react emotionally. If we do, we can notice our reaction, for example, that “when this part of me is activated, I get so angry”.
By gradually becoming aware of our patterns, we will be able to look at them a little more objectively when the emotion comes up again. Not easy, but well worth observing. This is the message of this New Moon. Om Shanti.
