Many people wish ‘if only things stayed the same’. This implies that ‘the things that are going well will stay the same forever”. But it doesn’t, as all things are regulated by the principle of impermanence. Therefore, remaining attached to the concept of ‘everything staying the same forever’ is just like moving backwards.
But those who realise this also realise that in order to move forward, we need to provide a certain amount of effort. Changing oneself also requires creativity. If ‘same as ever’ doesn’t last, what direction do you wish to take? This is a full moon that gives you clues on such matters.
We all have our strong and weak points, and we perceive ourselves to be unique in this world. How can we, each with different capabilities, be useful to the world?
